Cancellation fees are based on how far in advance you notify us. For standard stays, reservations cancelled or modified less than 60 days before arrival incur a three-day cancellation fee. For the December 20 – January 3 holiday period, reservations cancelled or modified less than 90 days before arrival incur a five-day cancellation fee. Updated August 2026.

Are holiday deposits refundable at Pagua Bay House?

No. Deposits for the December 20 – January 3 holiday period are non-refundable, regardless of when a change or cancellation is made.

What happens if I do not show up for my reservation?

No-shows are treated the same as a late cancellation and are subject to the applicable cancellation fee — three days for standard stays and five days during the December 20 – January 3 holiday period.

What payment methods does Pagua Bay House accept?

Pagua Bay House accepts Visa, Mastercard and cash for deposits and balances. American Express is not accepted.

What happens if my flight or ferry to Dominica is delayed or cancelled?

If an official airline or ferry delay or cancellation pushes your arrival back by a day or more, Pagua Bay House will issue a voucher toward a future or extended stay covering equivalent accommodation for the nights missed, up to two nights and subject to availability. Guests already checked in and waiting on a return flight can hold their accommodation at the original confirmed rate until the next available departure, subject to availability. Vouchers are valid for one full year from the original arrival date.

What happens if a hurricane or tropical storm warning is issued for Dominica?

If an official tropical storm or hurricane warning is issued for Dominica and airports close or airline and ferry service is grounded, Pagua Bay House will waive the cancellation fee and roll the full deposit into a future stay. Those vouchers are valid for one year from the original arrival date. Comprehensive travel insurance is always recommended.

Eligible refunds are processed back to the original card used at booking. All refunds are issued less 5% to cover card merchant processing charges.

Deposits

A deposit is required at the time of booking to confirm your reservation.

Three-night deposit of the total room cost — including gratuity and VAT — is due at the time of booking for standard stays.

Five-night deposit for stays from December 20th through January 3rd. This holiday period is non-refundable.

Five-night deposit is required for the villa, year round.

If an official airline or ferry delay or cancellation pushes your arrival back by a day or more — whatever the cause — we'll issue a voucher toward a future or extended stay. It covers equivalent accommodation for the nights you missed, up to two nights, subject to availability. Beyond that, standard rates apply.
Already checked in and stuck waiting on a return flight? We'll hold your accommodation at your original confirmed rate until the next available departure, based on availability.
